Distribution of Water Storage Tank
This programme is aimed at providing Poly Water Storage Tanks of 500 litre capacity to those Scheduled Tribe members of Manipur who face water shortage problems, especially in the hills. This programme is beneficiary-based programme. This programme tries to mitigate the water shortage problems, by arranging water storage tanks in the homestead where the water brought from the water source may be stored for day-to-day use. This shall alleviate the woes faced by those ST people. The beneficiaries are selected by a Selection Committee under the Chairmanship of the Director, TA & Hills, Manipur. The storage tanks are procured from GeM.
