Scholarship Scheme:
Department of Tribal Affairs & Hills, Govt. of Manipur is implementing 2 (two) Scholarship Schemes for the Tribal students of Manipur namely Pre and Post Matric ST Scholarship. The Schemes are with CSS wherein the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Govt. of India provides 90% of the grant and state provides the remaining 10% as State Share Component.
a) Pre-Matric ST Scholarship: The Scheme benefits can be availed by ST Students studying in Class IX and X, whose parents’ annual income is upto Rs. 2.5 lakhs. The Scholarship can be applied through National Scholarship Parent (NSP) at www.nsp.gov.in
b) Post-Matric ST Scholarship: The Scheme is meant for providing Financial Assistance to ST students for pursuing higher studies after passing class X. Eligible ST Students whose Parents’ Annual income is upto Rs. 2.5 lakhs can apply for this scholarship scheme. The Scholarship can be applied through National Scholarship Parent (NSP) at www.nsp.gov.in
